Additional DEWALT DW057K-2 18-Volt Ni-Cad 1/2-Inch Cordless Impact Wrench Information
|
|
If you’ve been driving in lag screws and loosening large hex nuts with a ratchet wrench, or worse still, an open-end wrench, then you’re going to love the DeWalt DW057K-2 Cordless Impact Wrench. This compact, portable powerhouse is driven by an 18-volt nickel-cadmium (Ni-Cad) battery that produces 1,650 in./lbs. of torque, and 3,000 blows-per-minute of percussive force to bust loose the most stubborn nuts, including tire lugs. This 4.9 pound cordless wrench is also invaluable for tightening hex-head machine bolts and driving long lag screws into wood. The DW057K-2 is just 6-1/2 inches long—about the same size as a cordless drill, so it’ll work in tighter spaces than standard impact wrenches. It has a metal 1/2-inch-square detent pin anvil, which firmly holds the socket in place. Other features include a sure-grip handle, durable magnesium gear case, and an all-metal transmission for smooth operation. -- Joseph Truini What's in the Box DW057K-2 Impact Wrench, two 18-volt batteries, one-hour charger, carrying case

The batteries last about 400 bolts (very good). They have set over 40,000 bolts and we have had no problems. My company sells and erects Behlen curvet buildings. These two impacts have gone with us this year on at least five jobs. We love this tool. A building 100 feet long has over 6000 bolts in it. We take 2 (two) of these impacts out with us on each job.
THANX Dewalt. The tool is a great tool for all kind of fixing that need to be asemble or disasemble. The impact is strong enough for mechanic and the battery is a 5 star quality, I charge it once for about a month ago and it is still strong, I use it every day some more than other but the battery doesn't drain of it power as fast as other cordless tools that I have use.
Love DeWalt. Bought this for my other half and it works good for many things in the garage. Goes great with the cordless drill.
more money, but far superior. Bought the Sears Craftsmen Unit. Poor torque and charging power. returned the unit the first week.
I don't depend on this tool for final tightening of nuts/bolts, I use torque wrench. Compared to air tool not noisy at all, and much more convenient. I use it for just about anything I would use a ratchet for. Was a little concerned about the real power of the Tool. Sure makes things quicker/easier, I hope it likes getting greasy. Charged up batts and zipped of lug nuts torqued to 150lbs no problem. Ordered it anyway (tired of compressor, air hose and noise of airtool). Small enough to use just about anywhere, battery is actually larger than power head.
